Our Volunteers

Bebington Archers is run purely by volunteers. Without them, we wouldn’t be here. So, *drum roll*, please meet:

Chair – David Alcock

David has responsibility for overseeing the running of the club and, amongst other things, manages the club’s meetings and ensures that other club roles are fully supported.

Club Secretary, Have A Go & Beginner’s Course Coordinator – Jo Condon

Jo acts as Archery GB’s main contact for the club and deals with its administration and correspondence. On a day to day basis, her duties include the day to day running of the club, organising committee meetings, the AGM and representing the club at county meetings.

Treasurer, Membership & Records Officer – Ross McLean

Ross is responsible for all income and expenditure for the club. This includes producing and managing the club’s accounts and finances and ensure that all funds are used appropriately and banked promptly.

Welfare Officer – Mark Currums

Also known as our Safeguarding Officer or Child Protection Officer, Mark’s primary responsibility is managing and reporting concerns about children or vulnerable adults and for putting into place procedures to safeguard all members within the club.

He also ensures that the club implements the relevant policies and procedures and assists the club in ensuring DBS Enhanced Disclosures/other vetting checks are up to date for the relevant Volunteers.

David, Jo, Ross and Mark, in turn, couldn’t do their jobs without the support of our:

Vice Chair & Social Secretary – Alex Currums

Session Coaches – Jo Condon, Anthony Liu
